As a Church we need to let visitors know they are welcome and that God welcomes them. Pastor Joe talks about a plan for Emmanuel and striking a balance between welcoming and overbearing. We also need to be prepared for the second and third time they come.

Jesus was a risk-taker and we should be also. We can make a difference in the lives of people that need our help. We also heard from Lindsey Ein, Executive Director of Interparish Ministries. She talked about the new satelite food pantry in Batavia which is supported by several churches including ours.

Pastor Joe talks about The Healing of the Paralyzed Man and the friends that brought him to Jesus. In the first of a series of sermons we are told that small groups can make a difference in the quality of our lives, and helps to form a better relationship with the Church and with Jesus.

Most of us like things neat and tidy, but as a church grows it can become messy. We need to focus on why we do the things that we do in a church and not how we do things, and trust in God that he has a plan for us. We need to turn a mess into a blessing.

What distracts you from sharing the light of Christ? We let little things distract us. Many times what we thought should happen gets in the way of what God knows will happen. Pastor Joe gives us five ways to help us know what God wants and not what we think should happen while we share the light of Christ.

We all have uh oh moments. When good intentions go bad, when bad intentions get worse, and when we try to fix it and make a big ole mess. But, what happens when Jesus gets involved?

We celebrate many tasks, but the importance is in the relationships we have with each other, and the ultimate woo hoo moment is our relationship with God. We have tasks that we can do in the Church to encourage, restore, and renew relationships between people and God and people with each other.

In our Church, how do we dream without restrictions, and keep from boxing ourselves in with rules and propriety, while also keeping the standards that we hold? We need to remember it's the message not the mode. The message doesn't change. God can do more than we can image.

Jesus called us to make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to obey his commandments. Sounds simple and straight forward, but as human beings we like to make things much more complicated.

It's been over six weeks since we learned that we were getting a new Pastor. Today we met Joe and his family. We invite you to listen to his message.
